What a wonderful feeling it is to be loved!

So we went to a new church today called and it's like three hours from our house. I slept most of the way but it was well worth the trip. When we got there, we went into these prophecy booths where people give you a word from God if they feel Him speaking to them. I had four little kids that were either in grade school or high school talk to me about what God laid on their heart. The main message was how much he loved me and that I just needed to be patient for what I have dreamed about to come true. It wasn't so much a session about what the future held but a word of encouragement to know everything is alright. Just what I needed!

Then we went into the main service and the worship was a real nice mixture of country, rock and roll, and spontaneous singing. If you didn't like one type, you were sure to like the other. I love it when they don't stick to one style so everyone gets at least one song that touches their heart. The preacher was amazing!! He taught about the women with one little jar of oil who had nothing but that's exactly what God needed to create something. So many Christians think they need something so they can do things for God when all he wants is nothing so He can be glorified. There are idle fields out there that need to be plowed and He's waiting for someone to go out and work them!

For lunch, we went to an awesome place named Jason's Deli. They serve all kinds of deli sandwiches, soups, and pastas. There is a humongous salad bar with the best little muffins, strawberry shortcake, fruit salad, and all sorts of organic foods that vegans would love. I myself ordered the broccoli cheese soup and chicken panini, both of which were excellent. I hope they bring one to where I live!  So we got home late since it’s three hours there and three hours back. I immediately hopped on the computer to post a backdated entry for yesterday. I still need to do the 1 sentence challenge for the Logans…some good ones are coming to mind as I mulled it over this past week. Only one show to review today but so much to say!

In “The Other Walker” (Episode 1.16), so much was going on that this post could go for pages and pages. Every scene (except the one with Kevin and his boyfriend) was excellent. To make it more coherent, I’ll just go character by character. First let’s start with Nora. Sally was in top fighting form when she found out the news from Saul and I loved how she didn’t immediately fall apart but slowly worked into a righteous anger. Best part was with Sarah at the end when she explains that she was more mad with her daughter who should confide everything in her than her sons who are naturally not as close to their mother. Good acting on both their parts.

Then let’s move to Saul and Holly. I’ll treat them as a unit because I really love them. Looks like no more cute scenes like in the beginning when they’re making coffee. I loved his arm around her and the kiss they shared. I was so happy when Saul told Nora because that was the right thing to do. The look on his face when he saw how much pain it caused her and the way he stood up for himself with Kevin was a beautiful thing. Though I like Holly, her little tirade into Sarah’s office because of the way Rebecca found out was not that justified after what she had put them through. For once, Sarah was right…you can’t expect everyone to play nice when you didn’t play nice from the start. However, her scenes with Rebecca when she found out the news were quite moving. Definitely Emmy worthy in my book! Patricia Wettig is AMAZING!

Now on to Sarah. She actually was somewhat irritating this episode. First off, she made the VERY wrong move of not telling Nora the truth. Secondly, Tommy completely pegged her main fault: control. It’s why her marriage is falling apart, it’s why she’s having trouble with Holly, it’s why she was so evil in telling Rebecca the truth in such a horrible, cold way. Though Sarah is a strong character, it was unsettling to see her turn evil like that. Her hatred for Holly is turning her into the very thing she loathes the most.

Kitty’s spat with Sarah was great and her quiet scenes with the Senator were “awwww” worthy. I love a guy who just lets you sit there and the way she said “you make me happy.” Too cute for words. I was so worried Justin would go back to drugs! Big sigh of relief when he didn’t and it was his sponsor. Sad to see him break it off with Tyler, happy to see him strike a bond with Rebecca.

As for Rebecca herself, she’s kind of a brat. Too spoiled for her own good with very decided opinions that make you just want to slap her. I like how she mixes things up in a family trying to be oh so perfect but her personality is kind of…off-putting. And I do think the Walkers took the whole revelation a little hard while Rebecca was a little too nonchalant on her end. In this day and age of mixed families, I for one think it would be more devastating to learn you have a whole new family than to find out you have a half sister.
