Well the weekend is almost up :(

And I’m still no closer to catching up on LJ than I was before. Darn that Second Life!! I do have GREAT news about my application to be a fashion model in game though!! I gave a little speech on why I wanted to be a model and she said it was the best speech she had that night. I was squeeing the whole time behind the keyboard J It’s so nice when people think you did a good job. One round down…two more to go. My little speech is below the cut line!

Hi, everyone! J I’m Arianna Psaltery and, like all these talented women here, I would love to become a Simone! Supermodel. I mean who wouldn’t? Modeling some of the most gorgeous gowns in Second Life? Working with three of the most talented designers in Second Life: Simone Stern, Calico Ingmann, and hyasyinth tiramisu? It would be a dream come true!

Nevertheless, I do realize that there is more to being a supermodel than simply wearing beautiful clothes. As a supermodel, you really become an ambassador or spokesperson for the brand itself. Everything you do and say becomes associated with the label and I believe I would make a great candidate because I believe in the designs themselves. I love how each one is both classic and sexy while incorporating little details that really make the outfit stand out from all others, appealing to everyone while still making the individual wearer feel special every time she or he puts on a new creation.

Most importantly, I also love working with people and getting to know their individual styles. I understand the need to put others first to get a job done and can be depended on to do whatever is necessary to complete a task that is given to me. The customer is most important to me and it would be my job to make sure they feel special whenever I meet with them while at the same time showing them what a difference a dress can make. As a fashion model, I could do this and more for three of the most beautiful and versatile brands in Second Life while giving back to a community that has given so much to me. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak to you.

So let’s see…I did happen to watch a REALLY good movie called “Water” about a Hindu girl of eight years old who was married and widowed before she turned nine. The things this video showed about India was frightening!! I mean they had her in this home for widows and she can’t remarry, her head is shaved bald, and she has to beg in the streets. They SAY that widows are holy women but they leave them to starve and treat them like pariahs and prostitutes. I loved it when the little girl said “Where is the home for widow men?” She had such spunk! And there were some good adult actresses too J

So it’s the end of Brothers and Sisters (Ep 1.23 Matriarchy) and it was Sally’s moment to shine. She did a really great job about letting Justin go overseas knowing he might die but refusing to believe it. Emmy emmy emmy please! I was not that thrilled with MacCallister’s family but I think that’s the way it was supposed to be. I did like that Holly and Sarah had a brief moment of civility. Saul’s gay love interest was VERY unwelcome and Kevin’s fling with the Senator’s brother in the pantry was just gross! And the guy’s a minister? *groans* I definitely might have to stop watching next year. Highlight of the night: Rebecca going “wow” after Kitty and Nora have a big fight J
