I was so busy enjoying the awesomeness that is 24 in the form of a 2 minute trailer as well as the fantastic pictures of the 24:Behind the Scenes book that I just got in the mail. I never knew I would get it this soon so I spent the whole night scanning pictures from the book so I could show my friends. If you would like to see some pictures from the book, leave a comment and I'll give you the list of links that I created for the scanned pictures. There's a really cute one with Jack on a dolly flying around the parking lot like he's superman. The book is worth the money for that shot and the pictures of the Logans alone!! And there is so much more but I digress.
First let's discuss the trailer and all it's goodness. After seeing it, I literally ran screaming around the house in excitement. I get really hyper when I'm happy. I rushed out of work to get home to download it and then...it was ON!! And I couldn't tear my eyes away. Bill looked so dapper coming to meet the plane and Karen looked so good as a presidential adviser. And OMG! Thomas Lennox (Peter MacNicol) was SO awesome in his opening scenes. He plays such a self conscious, reclusive math professor on Numbers that it so nice to see the change in personality. The guy is an AMAZING actor. He reminds me of Mike Novick. I'm so glad we got a worthy replacement for Mike :D And there was a ring on Karen's finger!! It was on her right hand but still...maybe her and Bill are engaged? What I like most about the trailer...the idea that it will be a VERY political season. It's the perfect time now that West Wing and Commander in Chief bit the dust. Oh, I'm so excited I can't wait till January!
Now for this wonderful wonderful book!! My only complaint is that there should have been a few more behind the scenes shots instead of so much room taken up by professional stills. I like to see the actors laughing and joking behind the scenes. Still there enough there to make me happy and a few choice Martha and Charles ones. In one, Charles looks so presidential and, in another, Martha is SO coming onto him in their love scene but what's hilarious is that so many camera people are close by...I mean it's terrible to have to do that scene and have them right in your face. Oh, well that's Hollywood for you. Click in the link for the scans of the Logans from the 24: Behind the Scenes Book.

Though Charles is on the side and Martha and Aaron are in the middle, this group shot is quite nice. Maybe with a little cropping I can fix this :)

The perfect pose, the perfect presence, the perfect MAN! At least in my eyes. I just love how he stands. Then again you know I'm addicted! *wink*

I so think of Nixon when I see this photo & I love him even more for looking so presidential. Palmer might be handsome but Charles is the man :)

Awww and this is so cute!! Who can say no to Martha? What a lucky man! As long as they never say the word divorce, there isn't one. *big grin*
And last but not least, it's time for another great love poem. Tonight's selection is by John Boyle O'Reilly and like the previous poems is very short. However, alot of things that are brief and to the point are lovely to behold and so is this poem. I especially like the idea of the kiss of desire. We who have seen Season Five know how that VERY MUCH applies to Martha and Charles. You know what scenes I'm talking about *mischevious grin*
A White Rose
By John Boyle O'Reilly
1844-1890
THE red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.
And the white rose breathes of love;
O the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.
And of course what would a post be like without my usual shot from 24. I love the expression on Martha's face from this screencap :)
How could I ever live with the truth if my husband turned out to be a traitor?
