I love Mondays!
Oct. 16th, 2006 12:53 amWhy do you ask do I love Mondays? Well to start with I've classified this day as fan fiction day so I get to post a short story or chapter in my blog. However, what really gets me excited is talking about my latest progress on the writing front. So far all attempts to get chapter 13 written this weekend failed on all counts. I just got too involved in Second Life and Live Journal. Also there were TV shows to watch like Brothers and Sisters as well as family events. However, I am determined to get this series finished. Throwing the boundaries and restrictions out the window, I'm writing whatever comes to mind when I picture Martha's scene in the hospital. If Charles comes off good, then it stays. If Aaron comes off bad, then it stays. However, I refuse to be tied down by such petty things like staying in character or dialogue that must be cut because it's too long winded. If you don't like it, DON'T READ IT. What's most important here is keeping the creative juices flowing and enjoying the experience of writing I can always edit later and the best part...I'm not publishing so if I like it I can keep it. Forgive this little rant but it needed to get out there :)
Now a good example of unadulterated (yeah, it's my favorite word!), limitless fun is this little piece I concocted while trying to come up with a cute Martha/Charles scene to counter all the angst I was writing. Hey it had to happen sometime. I actually have a larger, more elaborate piece planned but for now I revel in how I put a different spin on the characters of Charles and Martha Logan. I do believe Jean Smart and Gregory Itzin could pull this scene off quite nicely *wink*
I just realized something...I forgot to shut off the Iron this morning...wonder if I can send Aaron to take care of it...
