ladyofavalon77: (Martha (Antique Finish))

Well, I am so glad we only got the two day park hopper. More than two would have meant we would have been out again this morning...this way we could just relax and enjoy the day, anticipating tomorrow's visit to Epcot. After sleeping in, it was off to the computer room and a chance to finish replying to over a hundred new posts in my friendlist. It was a lot of fun and infinitely rewarding. Later in the afternoon, we went out to Waldenbooks so I could finally get the Entertainment Magazine. This time we called ahead and discovered they finally had the right issue. When we got there, I snatched it right up and bought a cute brown bear that was half price because it was after the holidays. Then it was off to the flea market where I swore I would not buy anything else...and caved in again! Darn this weakness of mine for cute stuffed animals. They had a sale on Beanie Babies and I found a lion, a bear, a rabbit, and a rat that I really liked and had to buy right then. Oh well, I have money to spend now so it's not too bad. Our last stop was a fruit market where I bought 6 oranges for a dollar...Florida really does have the best oranges! So sweet and juicy!

And of course, I had time to watch more of Season Five of 24 (Episodes 5.19 and 5.20).  These were some of the best episodes to watch because a) Logan finally tells Martha the truth and b) Karen comes to realize that working with Jack is better than working against him :) For 5.19, Jack tries to stop Audrey's bleeding as Heller calls to apologize and try to make amends as he realized he was wrong to do what he did.  Jack wants none of it and chases Henderson down with Audrey in tow.  They finally corner him but Henderson reveals that he's ready to kill Heller unless Jack hands over the recording and lets him go.  I really didn't like Audrey during this episode because she was just acting too hysterical and high strung for my tastes...one minute all upset to the next "Kill him, Jack".  It was just a little too much.  I did love Henderson getting in Audrey's head to have her doubt herself and give him the psychological advantage...she should have just left the room, staying just encouraged him to keep talking.  Miles continued to amaze me with his computer skills and just being himself...so entertaining to watch (another fan favorite).  Karen calling Bill to warn him was an "awwwww" moment!  I loved Karen beginning to doubt everything that was going on until she finally came around. The actress did a good job with those scenes.  And of course, Charles telling Graham that he would handle Martha was so sweet.  He really didn't want her to get hurt...though his scenes with her were just downright scary!  The man is such a good liar that he lies best to himself.

For 5.20, alot of fun things happened.  First off, Karen told Bill that he should let himself get captured so she could bring him in as a suspect.  Awwww so adorable.  I loved Bill as they questioned him and he refused to give them any ground.  Then when he called Miles a "Little ass-kisser" LOL! He's the best!  Then Karen shutting down all cameras to talk alone with him while saying "Shut up, Bill!"  That was too sexy for words hehe.  Meanwhile, Chloe and her trusty tazer were ready to see some action at the hotel when Jerk of the night shows up to come on to our CTU tech goddess.  Not once but TWICE!! I knew it was coming and still enjoyed it immensely :)  Then we got a glance of Jean Smart's real life husband as the pilot of the diplomatic flight.  I knew there was a reason I liked his character! And you know what's freaky!  He sounds like Henderson's brother.  Scary scary scary! Ok, now I have to make a confession...I didn't really pay attention to Logan's scenes here when he talks about Martha.  They really are kind of cruel and I can see why people said he might not like her anymore.  Then again he had to come up with some story to keep Mike at bay.  I DID love Jean's scenes as she's getting desperate for pills because she has a terrible secret she can't reveal and the silence is killing her.  Seeing Mike get so emotional with her to extract the information he knows that she's withholding was SO funny to watch because you know that is all that matters to Mike...being in the loop on everything that's going on.  He would sell his soul for intel *giggles*  The last scene when Charles tells a very drunk Martha that he couldn't turn to her because she was mentally unstable these last few years was not that bad because it was the truth but the other scenes...they were a little hard to take.  Oh well...life is taking the good with the bad *winks*

And since I bought a Nickelback CD from Virgin Records, I realized another great song that would fit Charles perfectly! Or at least how I want to remember him :)

Nickelback Savin' Me Lyrics

Prison gates won't open up for me
On these hands and knees I'm crawlin'
Oh, I reach for you
Well I'm terrified of these four walls
These iron bars can't hold my soul in
All I need is you
Come please I'm callin'
And oh I scream for you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin'

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me

Heaven's gates won't open up for me
With these broken wings I'm fallin'
And all I see is you
These city walls ain't got no love for me
I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story
And oh I scream for you
Come please I'm callin'
And all I need from you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin'

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me
Hurry I'm fallin'

And all I need is you
Come please I'm callin'
And oh I scream for you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin', I'm fallin'

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
And say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me
Hurry I'm fallin'

Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me

I like this song because it shows Logan's downfall and as he finds himself slipping away from the moral high ground, he reaches for the one person who could save him...his wife.  If she had been stronger, more stable, she could have pulled him back from the edge and seen the light.  If that had happened, these lyrics would have been their perfect theme song...

Why would Heller come to see Charles this late? What is going on?
