I think I've caught something :(

I didn't feel really well after work yesterday so stayed home to get better for today's street meeting. Then I woke up this morning and had a sore throat and a slight ache all over. Definitely fighting a cold because I'm sneezing like crazy and my nose feels as big as a grape fruit. So I couldn't go to the outreach. My Mom asked me to drop something off anyway and after going out I think it made me feel worse...I'm certainly not better. Hopefully, I'll feel better by Monday or it's a trip to the doctor's :P
Now for some graphics :) A few more I entered in a 24 icon contest at
24_stillness! Though none placed, I'm particularly proud of the David/Martha one because it shows the phone call scene they had on Day Five...at least in my imagination :)
Feel free to use any of them, don't worry about credit, and please don't hotlink :) Thanks!
I did finally settle down and watch Scarlet...all 400 minutes of it with breaks in between. Jean Smart has a small role in this period romance so I had to check it out. I still can't believe it's a Hallmark film since there is such a gritty, soap opera feel to it...not the usual warm, fuzzy movies they usually make. Anyways, Jean was HILARIOUS!! Her character opens up by charging a horse and carriage down the streets of Charleston while smoking a cigar! And her southern accent is adorable as it rises and falls like a sharp set of staccato notes on a piano. Her chemistry with Rhett Butler is undeniable and she looks SO beautiful in period costume. Her acting has definitely improved though she still has some great scene stealing moments in this little mini series.
The other performance I was impressed by was Colm Meaney's. He was Chief O'Brien on Star Trek and he is always a wonderful actor in whatever role he's in. However, I really love how he played this rebel leader in Ireland who has fallen for his cousin Scarlett O'Hara but can't do anything about it because a) she's his cousin and b) he's a priest. The man plays the scenes with such a delicate touch and subtle subtext that it's a joy to watch his character struggle with these feelings he has for her. I love him already :)
