I'm still not feeling well and didn't get to make church again :(  Also missed Chinese class for the second time *cries*  Fortunately, they only talked about Chinese New Year's so I didn't miss much.  Should be able to make the next one :D  It's a weird cold because I'm sick and yet I'm not...I take motrin and I'm ok but I don't and I feel kind of bad.  Still must be fighting it.  Darn flu season!

Well, staying in bed has one perk...I can watch new movies!  This time I decided to check out "The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle".  It's based on a true story about a couple that made ballroom dancing fashionable before World War I.  Then the husband is killed during a plane accident because he always asked to ride up front instead of the student flyer so that guy wouldn't get killed if there was a crash.  The movie really showed off Ginger Roger's acting talents and was very sad.  The dancing not as good but you could see the natural chemistry there.  I looked up some history on Fred Astaire and it seems he dated Ginger for a little bit before breaking it off because she was too career oriented.  Another reason why she's good for him is that she spices things up with her spunky personality and, with her blonde hair, you only look at Fred where with a darker haired partner you'd be looking at her.  My favorite quote about them was this: "He gave her class and she gave him sex appeal."  Truer words were never spoken!

Well, it's Sunday and you know what comes on this time of the week *rubs hands gleefully*

I REALLY REALLY liked this episode ("Love is Difficult" Ep 1.15) and I finally saw how great an actress Rachel Griffiths is.  Evidently, the Whedon's are having marital problems and go to see Joel Grey (*giggles* because I remember him as Sloane's clone in Alias) as their therapist.  Evidently, there are accusations of infidelity because Sara had had thoughts before but was pinning them on Joe.  Then she decides to be honest with him because of advice Sally gave her (which I agree with!) but Joe isn't understanding and it seems to make things worse.  Her scenes where she says that she wants more out of the marriage and he says he doesn't are just so heartbreaking that she puts everyone else except Sally Field to shame!! The woman can act!!  As [profile] illusory_thrill is always telling me *winks*  I loved the Senator/Kitty scenes and Nora listening outside the door to their argument with Justin was adorable.  So too was the fight between Kitty and Justin.  Patricia Wettig is playing Holly in a strange but interesting way...I don't know if she's trying to screw Tom or just trying to help out.  I guess time will tell.  And Tommy...oh how I heart him...the nice guy everyone loves but no one looks up to.  I can't wait till he is a father and two someones WILL be looking up to him.  He needs the confidence booster :D

And now for weekly website showcase :) I'm going to pimp the Floss boards again because of a request from one of the administrators.  This is for all those who LOVE the Martha/Aaron pairing and enjoy discussing them as well as reading the fine archive they have of excellent fan fiction that reunites this pair in all kinds of interesting ways.  At the very least, it's worth a look!  I know I'm a Martha/Charles fan but these gals are the sweetest you'll ever meet and I know some of you are Martha/Aaron fans and just might like it!

This way to forum, fan fiction, and fan girling over Martha and Aaron Pierces...or as one fan likes to say it...the Pierces!
