Which 24 Character Are You?

What's Left Of Me...

Ok there are really too many great songs out there for Martha and Charles so I should be able to keep this up ad infinitum (is that a word?). Well, I was watching my favorite show of the new season: Dancing With The Stars and guess who was on? Nick Lachey!! And Drew was there! I so wanted him to get up and dance but oh well. Maybe in an upcoming results show :D One can dream right! Anyways back on topic. Nick was singing "What's Left Of Me" and it's perfect for Charles. I mean it talks about how this guy loves this girl but now that she's gone he's falling apart. She was the one who made him what he was and he misses her desparately. Martha and Charles, don't you think?

And I have been looking for a song that portrays Martha's capacity to forgive Charles for what happened. And I have found it with Nick again (Gosh his songs are perfect!!). Here he describes the desparation of Martha so perfectly, even her time in Vermont. I love how it shows that she tried everything to make the marriage work but Charles just walked away and there was nothing she could do. Best of all are the words of forgiveness. *happy sigh*

Some Musings about Fan Fiction Writing :)

I should have gotten some fan fiction writing done this weekend but nothing came to me. I have a really good scene between Martha and Charles coming up but have yet to bring myself to write it. Could it be that I need a break? All I know is that I need inspiration to write a good story and am willing to wait till it hits me. I'm not out of ideas...just out of ways to execute them :) At any rate, time to post another one that I penned earlier :)

Another wonderful Saturday :)

I'm in a cheerful mood. We were absolutely CRAZY at work but I stayed longer and now my boss loves me. Always good to build up some points with the boss in case you need vacation time or run into problems later (and with me they're always HUGE problems so this is good).

There are too many shows to watch!

I mean the TV stations really need to stop this. Yesterday was CRAZY with Dancing with the Stars, Jericho, Criminal Minds, Justice, Kidnapped, and CSI: NY. I could only taped three and therefore lost out on the other three because a piece of fan fiction really inspired me so I had to keep writing.

Feeling a little bit sad :(

Well, I was excited about getting out of work early and working on another Martha/Charles piece with a cute scene in the kitchen. However, a conversation with someone just soured my whole evening and I haven't quite recovered. Have you ever had that happen? You're blissfully going along, happy with life and everything in it when BAM! Out of nowhere something happens and everything falls apart. Nothing is quite as enjoyable as it was before. Nothing is as great as it seems. The rose colored glasses are off and the sun has disappeared behind some very grey clouds. All I want right now is a friend who shares the same interests and passions that I do so we can scream, cry, yell, groan, complain, and brainstorm together. I just wish I was more like everyone else so it wouldn't be so hard to find someone like me :)

Dancing With The Stars!

It's that time of year again! And boy was it a wonderful two hours. I thought I might be disappointed because there weren't any really big names out there but I was so wrong....in more ways than one. First, they did a whole revamp of the set and it has honest to goodness chandelier and a balcony on both sides of the dance floor. They're getting snazzy!

Now back to Martha and Charles. I wonder if Greg or Jean would go on Dancing With The Stars...Nah! Too cheesy for them hehe. Though Greg's facial expressions would be HILARIOUS! And Jean would have so much fun cracking jokes in the holding room. Aaah they would be the life of the party. And before I forget, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEAN!! I would have forgotten if it wasn't for illusory_thrill and whenidream. Thanks guys :) I hope I age as gracefully. After seeing so many pictures of attractive women in their forties, I'm convinced it's the best age to be. I can't wait till I'm 40!!!!!!!

Found a new friend!

THIS is why I love LiveJournal. I never know who I might meet and today...I found a fellow Martha/Charles fan!! Do you know how hard it is to get people to like this couple when there are so many Martha/Aaron fans running around? Well, I found one after my own heart and her name is

Well today was productive if only for the fact that I twisted my ankle and had time to be on the computer away from work. I finished the 11th chapter of my fan fiction entitled "If I Should Lose You..." That chapter had been causing me so much trouble because it was a scene between Martha and Aaron. I just cannot write for those two at ALL! But after several attempts, I finally found a draft that was half way decent and posted it in my yahoo group. Go ahead and take a gander if you like that relationship. It's very touching and very sweet!

However, now I can start on the confrontation between Martha and Charles. There will be arguing and bickering. Martha is a different woman from the one that left in the motorcade than the one who survived the kidnapping. And things will have to change in their marriage or she's leaving. Or that's how she tells Charles. I love putting Charles in the hot seat. How he takes it, no one will know!

Back to posting :)

Aaah it feels good! So much has been happening this week that I didn't have time to post. I did have ALOT of fun checking out other people's journals though. So many fun entries to read, so little time to do it in :) Anyways, I'm starting out with something I saw in crashandburn's journal and had to place here.

If there is one or more people on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

As for what I've been up to for the last few days...well I've been writing fan fiction and looking at tutorials for icons. Since I'm crazy about Martha and Charles I figured it would be great if I started making some icons of my own. However those tutorials are looking a little daunting so I might hold off a few weeks. As for the writing, I'm in agony over this one chapter. It's a scene between Martha and Aaron (I know sacrilege on these hallowed pages *giggles* but it's for a friend. Stares at *mrsaaronpierce*) and I just cannot get the right tone from Aaron. The actor is an amazing guy and the character is a great one but getting him down on paper makes me want to tear my hair out. So far I've gone through two or three drafts and none of them are great. This scene is one of THE key scenes in piece of fiction so it has to be right. So I'll keep hammering away until I get it. Heaven help me :)

So back to my main obsession, here is another screenshot of Charles. How I love him. Those eyes, that scowl *giggle*

I started out as a Martha/Aaron fan but have completely fallen in love with Martha and Charles. Everything says you should embrace what is good and perfect but my heart yearns for something deeper...something that cannot be classified as either good nor evil...and I have found that in Martha and Charles Logan. Sometimes a crumb falls...

Poems about love do not always need to be long with flowery language. Sometimes the simplest of words can convey the greatest of meanings. Just like some of the best marriages are the ones where the husband and wife need only look at each other or say a few words of encouragement to communicate everything they're feeling. At times this was apparent in the Logan marriage like when Martha took Charles' hand when he thought he lost her. Other times it was not. Nevertheless, this poem has great value no matter what relationship you find yourself in.

Decaf or NonFat Latte?

I was searching Blog Things for something cute to insert here and found this great quiz. There are TONS of adorable things you can try out like What Bumper Sticker Are You? and How Evil Are You? I tried the Evil quiz but the results weren't very satisfactory. Charles came out a little bit more evil than Martha. It was funny to note that the result said "You are not particularly evil but are actually more dangerous because no one can tell you are evil...until it's too late." Hmmmm...

Give me just one night...

Surfing the internet again and found these wonderful lyrics. Went on a downloading spree for 98 Degrees songs and found so many good ones. New favorite singing group *Giggle* So I chose the first song for Martha and Charles because I like what it says about hiding secrets and holding someone close through the night. I'm sure Martha needed to be held alot after the breakdown.. The last song exemplifies what a marriage should be and both of them could have had this if not for the events of Day Five. After twenty years of marriage, I'm sure they knew each other REALLY well. What would have been wonderful is that despite everything that happened they would be there for each other through it all. A marriage like that is a lovely thing :)

Stone walls do not a prison make...

I love finding romantic poetry and today's entry is no exception. It's be William Lovelace and what I love best about this poem is that it shows that love can transcend any physical barrier. The wording is beautiful and I think it's fitting for this relationship since at the end of Day Six it appeared that Logan was being taken off to prison. If he truly loved Martha, these thoughts could have been going through his mind. It's a nice idea at any rate :)

My Reaction To The Emmy Awards

Well, after seeing all the other posts about what went down tonight and having all these REALLY REALLY strong feelings about the results I felt it was time to release all this pent up frustration and disappointment in one nice long post. To begin with, I had been looking forward to this night all month long, counting down the days and checking the date to see how long till it happened. Dreaming of seeing Jean and Greg at the Emmy's and hearing their acceptance speeches. And that's where I went wrong. Usually I try to distance myself when I really like something but this time I allowed myself to be completely swept away in the moment and I shall learn not to do this again if it is the last thing I do. It's too painful when what you are hoping for doesn't come true and you have to live with the reality :(
