Shall We Dance, Mr. Bond?

Well the start of this week had me down but now I'm back to my usually cheerful self thanks to two reasons: AWESOME AWESOME worship service at church and *drumroll please* the new Mr. Bond! Oh is he hot and charismatic and warm and funny and just totally real and human!! Pierce Brosnan might have the looks but you, Mr. Daniel Craig, have stolen my heart. I look forward to your next turn as Mr. Bond indeed.
Ok, first a little commentary on spiritual matters. I adore our praise and worship on Friday Nights. It's a chance to kick back and just have fun. I've never danced at a club but I have just as much fun dancing in church. It's so refreshing to really feel what the songs are saying and just let it all go. Anyways, first we did the fast songs and it was fun doing alot of spins and leaps. Normal stuff really but then our worship team did the slow songs and oh my gosh it was wonderful. I just wanted to stay all night in that wonderful presence. Awesome awesome stuff. And my brother drove me there and was nice enough to wait on me. Sole thing I need to focus on is getting back on track with God by developing that personal relationship but events like all night worship and ladies prayer meeting help in a BIG way. Can't wait for tomorrow's worship!
Now on to less serious but nonetheless fun things...like TV shows *giggles*
And now...the moment we've all been waiting for...ok, I've been waiting for :) Discussion of the AMAZING new Bond film!
Well, today is Saturday so time to put some graphics on display and I have the perfect piece by

Ask me for a direct link to her post by commenting here if you want to use this wallpaper! And can't end an entry without adding the usual screenshot from Season Five of either Martha or Charles. Let's just hope he looks this good when Season Six swings around *sends up prayers to TPTB*

I still have those episodes of House and Lost to watch. Why I am procrastinating on watching them I have no idea. Oh well, the last two shows I watched were Shark and Numbers. I ADORE James Woods...I mean he's arrogant, smart, and sarcastic but so lovable because he's right. And the young team of D.A.'s that he's working with have such diverse personalities that he bounces off each of them quite nicely. This last episode was about a girl who got run down by her best friend's car. What was not so hot was that they ended up being lesbian lovers but it was cool when the D.A.'s had to question Shark's daughter and asked about him being her Dad. Any scenes with Julie and Stark are adorable and remind me of the old days of Gilmore Girls. On Numbers, Kathy Najimy is starting her guest appearance as a strict chair of the Mathematics Department who starts dating Judd Hirsch's character. She's feisty enough for them but the relationship is still in its nascent stages so not sure if I'll like them as a couple yet. Need to see more before I decide. Charlie's romance with is really turning into the highlight of the season. They're so cute together. Not as cute as the relationship between Megan and Larry. They are SUCH the odd couple but so fun to watch. I always get excited when I see Peter MacNichol onscreen because I keep telling myself "This might be your day job but right now you're moonlighting on 24 as a presidential advisor and I will see you in Jan." You think I'm just a wee bit obsessed with 24? *grin*
And now...the moment we've all been waiting for...ok, I've been waiting for :) Discussion of the AMAZING new Bond film!
To start with, I wasn't a fan of Daniel Craig playing Bond because a) he has blonde hair and Bond has always had dark hair and b) he just didn't have the look...I mean he just didn't jump out at me when you saw screenshots of him in the media. But boy was I wrong...boy did I have to eat my words. The first time I knew something was up was when I saw all the British critics taking back their negative predictions after seeing the film and then after taking a peek at the trailer my fate was sealed...the new Bond had stolen my heart! So after alot of nagging, I got my brother to go with me and settled in for a nice good action movie at least as good as the ones with Pierce Brosnan. And then I was just BLOWN AWAY!! From the moment, his feet hit the ground in a foot chase to capture an African Jackie Chan (I mean the guy leaped like a rabbit and repelled off walls like a ping pong ball), I was hooked. Then he did so many things that the old Bonds would never dream of like taking a car when someone thought he was a bellhop instead of a guest at a hotel and then crashing the car into the railing so all the other rich cars would go off at once with their car alarms. Making fun of the classic line: How would you like your martini? Do you think I give a damn? Oh the man was so real and funny! Definitely bled more than other Bond's and I liked him for it! But what I really adored and what sealed my love forever was the way you could see all his barriers come down as he fell in love with this woman. I mean the scene with them both sitting in the shower and her leaning on his shoulder while he holds her and the water pours down on them is so MAGNETIC! And hot and touching and so many words that are escaping me right now. And then later when he loses her, I wanted to cry with him because his pain was so real that I could feel it. I've only had those emotions when Trinity said goodbye to Neo in the third Matrix movie. The actor might not look like the dashing guy we're used to but that's what is appealing. He's an everyman who gets the job done. The best way to say it is that they Americanized James Bond and I like it! You certainly have my heart...Mr. Craig *wink*

She was taking requests for wallpapers and presented me with this lovely work of art. It's simple but moving! Oh Martha and Charles how I love you. Let's just hope Greg is clean shaven because there are certain recent pics with him in a beard and those have been taken presumably while he's filming his episodes of 24. Oh please please do not have a scruffy beard when we first see you on camera. Some people can do the beard thing but you're not one of them!

Would you give me a second chance if I realized the mistakes I made today?
Would you forgive me for being weak and just remember I'm only a man?

Date: 2006-11-22 10:17 pm (UTC)Yep '24' is about the only show I watch on TV, other than hockey, and Seinfeld reruns. I do like the chilverous aspect that Camelot invokes. Perhaps this will be our secret I am a closet romantic. Though apparently both my ex-wives don't have a romantic bone in their bodies. (Now there is a joke in there, yet perhaps it's too early in our acquaitance to elaborate) :-0 Ummmm, nuff said, Then we have the 'ski' portion of my name, that is the playfullness and the my alleged sense of humor. As I am one hundred percent Polish, yes a thoroughbred, and I do have the papers to prove it. Then the numeric portion of my name, it would be so much easier to say it was the year of my birth, or that there were 68 Avolon-ski's before me. Being honest as I am at least fifty percent of the time. The numeral has nothing to do with the above mentioned possibilities. Mor ealong the lines of the joke that I dared not tell at this point in time.
Nice to meet ya, I do hope we can compare notes more often.
