It's A Grand Night For Singing...

I love fortuitous timing. A meme on my favorite songs and the day I post some favorite lyrics. Just perfect! Unfortunately, my vacation ended yesterday so it was back to work for me. I was the only person with combinations to the vault since the other two are on vacation so I had to travel back and forth to and from the vault the whole day while taking members in my cubicle and then members on the teller line. Fun fun fun! Fortunately, I could log into the 24 Community site and catch some awesome spoilers to hold me out till I got home. Time for a LJ cut so others won't be spoiled by my post :)

Ok...according to this guy on the boards who has posted inside pictures of the sets and other great tidbits, he was able to snatch a script for the 7 to 8 pm hour as well as more pictures. The part most relevant to me was a small snippet he gave us that Bill Buchanan says to someone "Former president Logan believes he can convince his ex-wife to put a call into Anya Suvarov. He thinks the Russian First Lady has a good chance of getting through to her husband." First off, it confirms the divorce (sad but expected). Secondly, it throws all my hopes of either of them in danger and CTU having to rescue them out the window. Thirdly, I wonder what Martha has to convince Anya to ask her husband to do. Fourthly, I can't wait to see the conversation when Logan calls his wife to ask her to do this. Fifthly and finally, I must resolve myself that the storyline for the Logans will never be as good as the one I think up on my own because Jack is the hero and not Charles or Martha. *groans* The good news...this inspires some REALLY good ideas for fan fiction.

Unfortunately, nothing good to see on TV tonight but hopefully that means I can get some graphic design projects done. Something Martha/Aaron related since I promised the FLOSS girls some icons for awhile now, especially clementine_lime . Good time to fulfill my promise! Well, one of my favorite groups put out a new CD recently but I'm saving it for Christmas so I'll highlight some of their older songs. The group in question is Il Divo and the songs are "Everytime I Look At You" and "The Man You Love".  VERY romantic songs and here is how they apply to the Logans.  The first one talks about how love changes a man and I think that was true of Charles.  He was a better man when Martha was there and he knew it.  I love how the singers says "let love be blind" and "I used to think that I was strong...I realize now I was wrong"  Falls right into line with how I see his character :)

This last song is so beautiful instrumental wise that I could hear the music alone without any singing.  However, the words are lovely as well as they describe a man who just wants to be there for the woman he's in love with.  Now we know Charles was not this kind of guy from the start...however, people could change and maybe after he's lost everything he suddenly realizes what he DID have and this changes him into this type of man.  One can only hope!

I heart Il Divo. I've heard like three of their songs, but they're awesome.

Ooh, I really need to watch Syriana. I did watch part of it at one point, but I somehow managed to miss her and...not pay attention at all.

Ooh, that's an intersting spoiler! I'm glad that they're bringing back Anya, because I liked her a lot even though she was only in the show for a short time.

Although, it makes me wonder - why are they going through Charles? Can't Bill just call and ask her to do it? I mean, unless she's mad at the CTU for some reason, except that you'd think she'd be madder at Charles. Hmm.
