Looooooooooong Day at work :)

But I made it. I also got my big gift today from my Secret Santa and guess what it was? A dancing Coco Cola bear with a bass that he strums as he sings a jazzy jingle bell rock. Oh, it was SOOOOOO cute. They know me too well :D On a sad note, I forgot today was my time to bake something for the branch so I didn't prepare anything the night before. Fortunately the other person baked a cake and more than covered that day for me. Phew! I also bought the cutest thing at Sears!! It was an adorable tiny Penguin with soft blue fur that came with his own lotion and body wash. I just love taking him out of his little container and holding him up to my face. How is that almost anything small is so cute? Well, barring insects and such :D
Then after work I went to the Christmas party with my Mom at a REALLY nice restaurant called the Hilltop House. We had live jazz music and my manager passed out gifts and talked about how everyone was important in making our branch a success. She even gave my Mom a gift which was really sweet and said she used me as a success story to HR that people with no banking experience can come in and do a good job. I was shocked! The food was FABULOUS! We had a choice of salmon, chicken marsala, or ribeye. I chose the marsala and was rewarded with a creamy sweet sauce that is the best I've tasted in a long time over mashed potatoes and vegetables. The ribeye was good too as it was seasoned well and cooked so tender you didn't even need ketchup or steak sauce :) Dessert was the best with chocolate croissant pudding. Basically, they made a croissant crust on top that just melts in your mouth with a chocolate inside that is smooth as butter. I want to go back for my birthday :) The night ended with us going shopping at the mall so Mom could buy some shoes for Christmas and eyeshadow too. That's part of the $50 I give for both her birthday and the holidays. Now I have to come up with a good surprise gift...something useful because she's not into frivolous gifts these days. We went home and spent the rest of the night talking late into the wee hours of the morning...just like we always do hehe.
No updates on what I'm currently watching but I leave you with a lovely poem since the Xmas stocking counts as my blogthing. Oh!! Thanks so much for the gifts in the stocking...now it looks full :)

Though the language can be a little difficult to decipher I just love how it talks about how neither had loved...till now. Everything else was just an illusion but once they found each other they found eternity...and now neither will die. If this poem is talking about the connection two souls have when they find each other, then I have no doubt in my mind that it can apply to Martha and Charles in that the chemistry between them was undeniable...despite their arguments...despite their fights...they had something special and just didn't realize it until it was too late.
I know I've lied to you, abandoned you, and hurt you but please understand...
I'm trying to do what's right...I just need more time...
