Sound familiar? It should if you're an Alias fan! I finally opened my Rambaldi box that contains ALL the episodes of this wonderful TV show. Now that I've seen all seasons of 24 it was time to move on to Alias and I had really forgotten how much I loved it. The box is so cute with mysterious symbols everywhere and cute little books that fold out and contain the DVD's. There's even a secret compartment on the bottom of the box. Best set I've ever bought. More on my thoughts on seeing the first two episodes later :)

Since my Mom and I stayed up till 5 AM last night, I naturally did not get up until 2 PM today. I still felt kind of strange because I had stayed up so late the other night. However, we had a lot to talk about and it was all good :) When I did get up, I had to catch up on a boatload of friend entries that I missed last night since I wasn't on the computer as well as post Friday's entry. That took a couple of hours and then I wanted to save more icons at the

24_iconscommunity while catching up on old posts at the 24 Community boards. It was a busy afternoon and I hadn't even made my icons for

Dinner was great because we bought a bourbon chicken sandwich at Zaxby's. BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH IN TOWN. The traffic was horrible but the wait was well worth it. I also was in the mood for Dunkin Doughnuts but my brother was driving so that urge will have to be satisfied tomorrow. Then it was time to enjoy my new Behind the Scenes of Casino Royale book that I got. There's a great picture in there of Daniel Craig hugging his girlfriend before meeting the press concerning the new movie that is so touching. He REALLY is a great guy :) Then I spent an hour working on entries for

24_stillness. One came out pretty good because it's different than my usual style...the other two were just real quick entries. We shall see what the results are but I've already won prizes from the last contest so I'm pretty content right now.

I'll be showing some more of these icons next week :) Plus any other ones from previous contests that are done. Now to tell the truth, only me and the mod submitted entries but I just like the idea that I won something hehe. Helps my low self esteem *winks*

So now my ramblings on Alias (Episode 1.01 "Truth be Told" and Episode 1.02 "So It Begins"). Well, first things first I have always loved how it starts so action packed and then moves on to the quieter more peaceful college scenes. It's really a great balance and one I wish 24 would mirror. Anyways, first off the bat, I really don't think Danny is that attractive but he is adorable with his adoration for her and I like his voice. Secondly, I suddenly see the attraction between Will and Sydney a whole lot more and wish they had ended up together. He brings something out of her that Vaughn doesn't. Vaughn is still a handsome nice guy but he's kind of bland. Though I loved seeing the attraction to Sydney in his eyes when they first met. Jack Bristow is still my overall favorite character and I love his paranoid conversation with Danny about Sydney's engagement. The guy wouldn't even trust his own mother! Finally, I definitely like Sloane a little bit more after seeing his wonderful light side in Brothers and Sisters. I look forward to seeing him develop as I watch the series :)

The second episode was great too. More wonderful chemistry between Will and Sydney...definitely shipping them now :) I also like the dynamic between Jack and Sloane. It's like good v. evil. When Sloane asks if Jack is alright and Jack brushes it off, that is a great moment to witness. You can't fool the man who's known you for so many years. Seeing Sydney work with Dixon again was great and guess what!! The terrorist who attacked Martha Logan during the motorcade was in this episode!! He played one of the Russian weapons dealers. It's so neat to recognize an actor you've seen before. Finally, I LOVED the scene where Sydney slaps Jack and he is quite stunned by her rebuke. Then he later reveals that he was trying to save Danny but he arrived too late. The forgiveness in her eyes when he tells her that is so touching and I love how he doesn't move a muscle until she leaves as he lets out a breath of relief. Victor Garber is amazing!

I know it's hard to take right now, Martha, but soon you'll understand...
you'll learn that sometimes sacrifices must be made for the greater good...
