ladyofavalon77: (Martha (Can I believe you?))

And yet another TV show blows me away with character driven storylines...it's amazing that while 24 lets me down I find just what I need in the other shows that I'm watching.  Variety is REALLY the spice of life!  First things first...this was my half day so I caught up on my Bible reading and then working on a LJ entry.  I'm falling so far behind...so many shows to watch and write mini reviews.  Good thing I'm not doing something with pictures and comments!  I tried to stay after work to finish the signature cards but my stomach was too hungry from not eating lunch so it was home I went.  Just hope we can get them done this week!

So now to the good stuff!  House and episode entitled "One Day, One Room"!  I tuned in halfway through because I have friends who watch it and I was just blown away.  Hugh Laurie's connection with the rape victim was amazing.  I mean here was a girl who didn't want something that was easy to pin down so that had his full attention and he knew she needed to talk it out.  However, he wasn't going to coddle her either.   Their dialogue about deep subjects like abortion, God, and relationships was wonderful to watch.  And then (Sorry Cuddy shippers I just have to say this!) the look that Cameron and House shared when she told him that he needed to tell her the truth had SO MUCH meaning.  There are times when I see Cameron and House interact and there is just a layer of depth I find so satisfying and fulfilling that I really want to ship them.  There is definitely sexy, cute chemistry between Cuddy and House but I never see them get into the deeper subjects like this...form some underlying connection that is more than just friendship.  I'm probably looking in the wrong place.  At any rate, Hugh Laurie deserves his Golden Glove and SAG award.  The man can ACT!!  I just wish he was more charming and believed in God a little :)

Well, now on to the romantic stuff!!  Aaah poetry :)  And this one is particularly perfect for the Logans.  Why do you ask?  Well, first of all it's entitled "The Argument" and secondly I like how it shows the man's love for the woman is so strong that he's willing to defy even Heaven to be with her.  I'm sure Charles in his younger days pursued Martha ardently until she said yes.  I hope he did it with class!

So there you have it.  I watched an episode of Law and Order SVU but I really don't think it deserves a review.  Just another rape case though it did have that new detective.  She's the one from Gladiator and she's a wonderful actress...even better than Mariska who I always thought was a little wooden.  This woman has lots of layers to her and each one is fascinating but the case didn't really spark my attention.  Not like Greg and Jean did :)

I don't regret the decision I made...but I do regret that I've hurt you, Martha...please forgive me...
