Notice anything new? *bats eyelashes*

A new month...a new layout J The header is by [profile] clementine_lime   for pointing me in the right direction. A tweak here and there and voila! A masterpiece!! Almost J *giggles*

So today was rather uneventful. My family went to a church that was 3 hours away while I stayed home. I didn’t want to miss Chinese class and it was REALLY good this time. We learned the words for mountain, rock, farmland, soil, and well. Then you can combine them with water, fire, big, small, top and bottom to get different combinations. My pronunciation is even improving! Yeah me :D

So I had to wait awhile for Brothers and Sisters and what did I see? The Nativity Story!

And I absolutely adored it! Great lines, beautiful romance, and a very deep theme. THIS is what movies are for. All the actors were great!! The guy who played Herod had presence, Joseph was honorable and understanding, Mary was pure of heart but unsure of herself, and Elizabeth was just full of warmth. Shoreh (Dina Araz from 24) did a WONDERFUL job portraying that character and her connection with the actor who played Zechariah was amazing. I could really feel their bond as husband and wife.

I loved how emotional Joseph got over the birth of Jesus and then when the shepherds came and reached out to touch the baby they knew would be the Messiah…that was incredible! The wise men were hilarious (“You forgot the map” “Can I bring another camel?”) and should be dubbed The Three Wise Guys J What I liked most is that it showed how much faith Jesus’ parents had to have because a) it appeared Mary had had a child out of wedlock and it just wasn’t true and b) Joseph married a woman of questionable virtue and it wasn’t true. However His birth is the perfect testimony for all those children born in single parent families because Jesus experienced the same thing!

And then there was the glory that was Sally Field!!

Ok tonight was her night, no doubt about it! That SCENE with Sarah…OMG! Emmy, Oscar, Tony, ANY AWARD worthy!!! I wanted to cry right there when she revealed how much pain William put her through and that’s why she couldn’t let Sarah out of the doghouse for not telling her the truth to start with. Then her scene in class when the kids are so bored with her story. And can I just say…Peter Coyote is HOT HOT HOT! The earring!! Gah!! I can’t wait to see more of him. The scene with Kitty when she tells Nora that things won’t be alright by inviting Rebecca to dinner. Shout out to [profile] illusory_thrill!! When Nora said she hated school, I thought of you hehe with senioritis! That should make your week *wink* Dang! Forgot to mention the episode name (Ep 1.17 "All In The Family").  Now back to fangirling!

Ever since seeing the pilot where Holly was just acting…not as likeable as later on I can’t enjoy her character as much. This week she was a little bitter but her image has been tainted. Now I know a lot of people like Rebecca but her attitude bugs the crap out of me. Who does she think she is? And one thing she needs to understand…Holly could have told William about Rebecca and he STILL wouldn’t have included her in the family because he wanted to keep the two lives separate so this time it really isn’t Holly’s fault (though there are a lot of things that are, don’t get me wrong!). Rebecca needs to get over herself already! Kevin was hilarious when he pulled her hair and the little tussle between him and Justin was priceless!

The first two are for the 24_stillness contest and the other two were the result of some fooling around in paintshop.  I'm not really happy with the last two because the coloring didn't come out great but maybe someone else will like it!  Comments, critiques, it's all welcome!

The layout looks nice! Point me in the right direction? I'm itching to make mine customized, but lost the code I'd been using.

BTW, did you miss that Siddig was in 'The Nativity Story'?

Oh!

I think I may have told you this at some point before, but I really like your new layout! I like the colour scheme, and the fact that it's still dark text on a light background.

And Peter Coyote is in Brothers and Sisters? I am now all renewed in my desire to see it when it comes out on DVD!

Awww thank you!
