The love for my fandom is cooling down...I think it's because a) I don't have many people to talk with and b) I have nothing new to fuel the fire. The good news: The trailer for 24 Season Six will be up on Oct 24 and will hopefully renew my fervor.  The bad news: It probably will not have Charles Logan in it :(  From all the spoilers I'm reading and just using common sense, I'm thinking he will be confined to a few scenes and a throwaway line on Martha's whereabouts.  Darn her mental instability!! She'd make a great politician.  Oh well, I'll have to return to the world of fan fic and all its possibilities.  And of course start honing my graphic design skills.  When will I just sit down and explore the possibilities of Paintshop and Photoshop instead of puttering around and procrastinating.  I need a good kick in the pants!

Slight bunny trail: I finally saw an episode of Stargate: Atlantis last night because a fellow LJ user has been making graphics and relaying the praises of the character of Elizabeth Weir. And guess what?  SHE WAS RIGHT!! This woman reminds me of Kathryn Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager.  She's strong, capable, and has so many layers.  It will be on again tonight at 12 am so I'll tune in once more.  Thanks,cnnjunky , for pointing me in the direction of this show.  All the characters were entertaining but I really like Elizabeth :)

Oh! And here is the website for the week.  A great site for news stories on 24 from Season 1 to Season 6.  Now beware...there are annoying popup ads but if you like to read various news sources on 24 then this site is right up your ally.

If you're like me, you really like to find 24 sites that have lots of downloads and media you can use for your desktop or resources that can be used for future icon or wallpaper making. Fortunately, there is another wonderful site with everything you could ask for. Now it's a little difficult to navigate due to it being in German but if you click the various links at the top you'll find your way around quite easily. GREAT wallpapers are on display and the part that I use frequently: screenshots from each season of 24. Not as extensive as 24 Online but enough to make plenty of great icons and other kinds of graphics. And this wonderful site is run by the lovely xandra73.

You really think I don't know what's going on?

Well the blues of yesterday have disappeared as I refocus on what I love to do most: writing, internet surfing and graphic design. Putting aside what someone said to me yesterday I am determined to focus on what I think is important. If they don't like it, fine! Let them deal with their own issues. As for me, I'm going to revel in this current obsession of mine till something better comes along :) For everyone who has been understanding of this fandom, I thank you. Your withholding of criticism has been GREATLY appreciated :) More than you know!

So today I will be promoting the 24 forums at the Television Without Pity website. There are four main subforums: 24 General Gabbery, Kiefer and Kompany, Terrorists, Targets and Kollateral Damage, and 24 Kreative Efforts. The first has a ton of threads on everything about the show from what the actors are doing now to spoilers for next season to reflections on all seasons. The second has threads devoted to key players in the 24 universe while the third covers everyone else. My favorite is the last forum because it has threads discussing fan fiction, forum games, and other creative ideas. Right now the boards are little quiet due to the show's hiatus but they pick up speed as soon as January begins. Check them out if you have time.

Then look no further than the official boards for the 24 Insider.  Unfortunately you do have to register before you can see the forums but they are well worth it I promise you.  Plenty of spoiler discussions, polls to take part in, and heated debates to watch from the sidelines or join in the fun.  And if you don't like spoilers, they have sections where you can discuss 24 in peace.  I personally like the Cast and Crew forum because you can rave about your favorite couple, post screenshots as people write captions underneath, and BEST OF ALL the rules protect you from others attacking the couple you like...no matter how improbable and unpopular it is.  Martha and Charles for instance :)

Finally and most importantly, they have a killer fan fiction section with all kinds of stories that should suit anyone who ventures in.  There are romantic tales, novel length epics, edge of your seat screenplays, and amusing parodies.  The fan art section sports some wonderful siggymakers who create fan fic posters, forum signatures, and website banners.  There are also other forms of media like fan videos and such.  So if any of this has peaked your interest, come and check it out :)
